In August 2000, the firm was invited to take part in a competitive technical and financial bid for the development of a proposed branch office for Standard Chartered Bank in the central business district of Abuja. The new branch was to be located on the ground floor of an existing multi-storey building. The brief required the creation of a high standard work environment. In October 2000 the firm was awarded the contract.
The firm took possession of the site in the same month. The project involved demolition, repair and fabrication of some building components.
It also involved the supply and installation of various traditional and specialist packages such as closed circuit television systems, fire and burglar alarms, vault doors, bullet proof windows, card-access security doors, imported corian works and customized signage.
The project was completed and handed over on the 18 th of December 2000.
