First Bank PLC have had a very productive branch on Herbert Macaulay Road.Tha branch became overcrowded and the management of the bank decided to upgrade the facilities of the bank by purchasing a plot of land by the corner of Aje Street, Herbert Macaulay Road and Commercial Avenue. It is a significant plot of land as it is in close proximity to the Sabo Police Station and the COOP Builiding.

Sabo is the commercial hub of Yaba with cars, buses and pedestrians interchanging in the area. The site is trapezoid in shape and the challenge of the site was to develop a building within the shape and also cater for the planning requirements of providing additional car parking spaces. At the end of it all, the bank had to buy an additional plot of land to enable increased flexibility with parking. The design is contemporary for First Bank standards and we hope it will form the basis for a brand review/transformation.
