Fujah, Ekaete

Was born Ekaete Fujah in November 1967 in London, England and returned to Nigeria very shortly after. She completed her secondary education at the Queen's College in Lagos in 1983 and commenced her 'A' levels at the Queen Ethelburga's School, Harrogate in England. She cut this short to accept admission into the University of Nigeria's school of Architecture where she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Architecture in 1989.
She has been a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects since 1993 and joined the firm in January 1994. She is a strong project and design Architect who has won several design competitions. She is a keen writer and has published several articles on subjects especially with regard to the preservation of historical buildings. These include several on the Architecture of Old Calabar.
She has served as Assistant Secretary and Secretary of the Female Architects of Nigeria, a subsidiary of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.
Her experience ranges from masterplanning and project management of estates and schools to design and management of commercial building projects. She is responsible for multinational Oil and Gas companies and local financial institutions as well as financial institutions in neighbouring Republic of Benin.
She became a director of the firm in 1998 and is proficient in the use of several computer software programmes especially for design, drafting, rendering, animation, graphics, project management and documentation and has directed a lot of in-house training in the use of relevant software.
She is a member of the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, a keen lawn tennis player and cyclist.
