Onajide, Ayoola Tokunbo

Was born in Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1958, returned to Nigeria with his parents in 1961, and went back again in 1976.
Having trained and worked in the United Kingdom, he returned to Nigeria in 1984. His various experiences are brought to bear on a practice he established in 1988 to continue his personal commitment to practice Architecture at it’s highest level

Ayoola Onajide is the Managing Partner/Director of A T Onajide Architects Ltd, in his capacity manages the practice of
25 Architects. On various projects, either designs and coordinates or supervises the design of projects and interacts with clients to ensure the quality required is sustained. Originally established as a sole proprietorship in 1988, the company now has 2 other Directors, 1 Associates,
18 Project architects, 4 Architectural Assistants, 3 quantity
surveyors, a Business Manager and H.R Manager and 10
Administrative and Support staff.
Ayoola Onajide is a Fellow of The Nigeria Institute of Architects. He has at various times served as Assistant Secretary of the Lagos chapter and Chairman of its publication committee. He has also served as Chairman and member of various committees of the Nigerian Institute of Architects national body. Ayo Onajide last assignment was the chairman of the NIA Building Design committee in 1997.
Ayo Onajide is the Founding Member and Treasurer of the
Association of Consulting Architects of Nigeria
Ayoola Onajide has been a Diocesan Architect of the Lagos Diocese of the Anglican Church of Nigeria since 1994 and has designed Churches and a Seminary for the diocese of Lagos.
Ayoola Onajide is a keen golfer, and trumpeter. He is also a member of the Ikoyi Club (1938), Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Polo Club and Motor Boat Clubs and the Metropolitan Club.
